Success at the European Championships 2018

Micky Schelstraete and her stallion Elin’s Noncisdador had a very successful week at the European Pony Championships in Bishop Burton, United Kingdom. They commenced with a whole series of 7,5-and eights on their protocol ending up on a strong 73,829% average. This making them the best Dutch scoring combination in the team competition, contributing to the Dutch Bronze Medal. This placed Micky individually as overall fifth in the team test out of 53 competitors.
The combination then paced seventh with 73.622% in the individual competition, qualifying them for the Kur to Music.
The top 18 riders from the individual competition were selected for the Kur to Music where Micky and her Hanoverian bred stallion scored a terrific 74.625% for a sixth place finish.

Kaposvar Hungary a 4th place for the Dutch team for now

Micky Schelstraete and Elin’s Noncisdador entered the arena as the first Dutch combination and were closely monitored by the rest of their team members including the former rider of Sco, Zoë Kuintjes, as they achieved a score of 69,257 %. The second combination for the Netherlands, Sam Oudhof riding Bodethal’s Kosima, gained a score of 69.179% which places them just behind Micky and Sco. With a total score of 139.436 points The Netherlands came in fourth place with still a chance to climb the ladder. The Britisch team currently is in third place with a score of 138.667 points which makes them just 0.231 point ahead of The Netherlands.

Day 4: We’re very proud at our girl (12), the youngest of the European Championship’s team

What a wonderful experience and what a great performance! Today there was a lot at stake so a good performance was essential. Unfortunately there was no freestyle to music for the 4th Dutch competitor… Nevertheless a 14th place was achieved out of 63 participants.

A wonderful result in the individual test at the European Championship in Kaposvar. After a 4th place with the national team the team was more than ever focused and motivated to triumph in a very warm Kaposvar. A wonderful 5th place for Marten in a competition with 63 competitors from 16 different countries!! Brandy came in 11th and for Micky it was a 14th place. Congratulations to you all!

Day 5: Individual tests

Today the individual tests are on the agenda. Marten started at 7:38. He performed well which gave him a score of 73.268! The eventing participants started in the Cross Country discipline. What a great sport. And what a great movements and spirit in the dressage arena! Brandy 71.463%, Sam 72.000% and Micky 69.439%
