Jonna Schelstraete

Jonna trained many young horses up to the Grand Prix and also successfully participated in the Pavo Cup and World Championships for young dressage horses. After the training of Jonna, many of these horses were sold to top dressage riders like the horses Alcazar and Grand Charmeur which are ridden by Katherine Bateson, the horse Buriel which is ridden by Juliette Ramel and mare Witness which are stabled at Hiltop Farms.

Currently, Jonna trains several top talented dressage prospects, including the approved stallion Iron Man and Kavallo, which is from the same bloodline and breed by the same breeder of Suppenkasper van Steffen Peters.

Jonna focuses on finding dressage prospects who can progress their entire career to the Grand Prix. Not only appearance and good gaits are important, but also and above all a willing and workable character.

Although Schelstraete Dressage scouts and purchases its horses itself, it also happens that horses are kept together with, for example, breeders or stallion owners. In addition to her own horses and the guidance of Micky, Jonna now and then also has the opportunity to train horses for third parties and to compete with them.
