In 2018, America started at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon with a very strong team (Graves, Perry-Glass, Adrienne Lyle with Salvino and Steffen Peters with Suppenkasper) and could return home with team silver. Graves sent Verdades into retirement on January after a huge successful career, but Perry-Glass was still hoping to participate in the Tokyo Games. When it became clear that the Games were being rescheduled for a year, she announced the retirement of the seventeen-year-old gelding.
